VHIF 
The Victoria
Heart Institute Foundation (VHIF) was founded as a not-for-profit
society in 1988 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Since its inception, VHIF has been actively involved in many clinical
research trials, most of which have been published in peer review
journals.
VHIF supports a wide range of activities related to cardiovascular
research, including:
- Cardiovascular
drug and device clinical trials.
- Continuing
medical education.
- Training
and learning opportunities for graduate trainees in cardiovascular
medicine.
- Publishing
research results in medical journals.
Contributions
by VHIF
In addition
to the contributions made to cardiovascular clinical knowledge through
research activities, VHIF helps in a number of ways, including:
- Contributing
medical equipment and supplies to local hospitals.
- Providing
funds to support patient-care related original research projects
in local hospitals and at the local university.
- Providing
support to local charitable organizations and fundraising events.
- Contributing
towards continuing medical education for hospital staff.
